Dr. Zelda Johnson

Owner | The Natural Hypertension Institute

Ms. Johnson facilitates the Serenity Experience blood pressure clinic and mindfulness workshops for the 100 Black Men Health & Wellness Committee. As a dual doctoral candidate in natural medicine and public health, she specializes in integrative cardiovascular disease medicine focusing on hypertension. Through extensive research in ethnic medicine modalities, Ms. Johnson developed the Z Protocol™, a community education program and clinical management protocol which lowers blood pressure and stress within six weeks using precision medicine diagnostics that includes genetic testing. In her private clinical practice, The Natural Hypertension Institute, she incorporates several mindfulness modalities in concert with classical homeopathy, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, medical Qigong, manual lymphatic drainage, and several cultural acupressure techniques. These novel therapies provide integrative, complementary, or alternative medicine modalities to fill the gap in conventional clinical management of cardiovascular disease. She has experience in several functional and narrative coaching disciplines including stress, depression, and pain which helps her clients get to what could be at the heart of cardiovascular disease. Ms. Johnson was chosen in 2019 as 1 of 100 US practitioners for the National Institutes if Health NCCIH ODS and Music ass Medicine symposiums and is a fellow for the Association of Black Cardiologists. Ms. Johnson previously was the first African American to serve on the board of directors for the National Center for Homeopathy.
