Delois Jordan Smith was born December 7, 1950, in Alabama, and raised in California. She has nine children and her first born son is Montell Jordan, National recording artist, singer producer and song writer and now Pastor. Delois has fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is married to Dr. Tommie Smith, 1968 Olympic Gold Medalist, and have been married for nineteen years. She is currently the Founder of Delo2k Enterprise online memorabilia store, started nonprofit, Tommie Smith Youth Initiative (TSYI), created and maintain “Live the Legacy” award of Dr. Tommie Smith, and is the (blank) for big screen television movies for Dr. Tommie Smith. Delois is the General Manager for Dr. Tommie Smith for over 25 years. Her key in life is moving youth to a higher level, by motivating and inspiring them to be the best they can be. In Mrs. Smith’s spare time, she loves traveling and speaking with people. Above all what keeps her grounded is, she’s a Christian and loves singing her favorite Mahalia Jackson’s songs
Overview: In the spirit of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc.’s Four for the Future platform, influential married couples will share their experience about love and relationship and focus on family matters based on Mentoring, Education, Health and Wellness, and Economic Empowerment. The couples will also address salient issues on leadership and spirituality and the impact it has had on their success in marriage.
