Afia Owusu is the Director of US Consumer Marketing at Abbott Diabetes Care in Alameda, CA. She’s worked at Abbott since 2018. Afia is passionate about educating people living with diabetes about life-changing technology. Prior to joining Abbott Diabetes Care, Afia worked at Eli Lilly and Genentech. Afia has a wealth of experience within healthcare—particularly the categories of diabetes, asthma and allergy, and men’s health. Afia grew up in Washington, DC. She earned a BA from Columbia University and an MBA from Duke University. She also enjoys road trips across the United States and aspires to buy a Leisure Van one day so that she, her family, and friends can explore the great sights of America in style!
