Milton Jones is Chairman-Elect and a Lifetime member of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. and a founding member of Peachtree Providence Partners Holding Company, LLC. Peachtree Providence Partners is a holding company with full or partial ownership in companies in key business sectors which Risk Management and Commercial Insurance, Consulting and financial services and Real Estate. The Peachtree Providence Partners mission is to deliver strategic advice, unparalleled excellence, and balanced risk management, while optimizing results. Mr. Jones is the former Executive Chairman and a founding member of CertusBank, NA. In this role, he oversaw Board governance and provided input to the strategic direction, capital formation and investor interaction that helped grow the organization into a $1.9 billion Company organically and through acquisitions. Jones was also a 32-year veteran of Bank of America and its predecessor companies where he held many senior executive roles. As Georgia Market President, Mr. Jones was the ranking executive publicly to customers and communities for an institution with more than $12 Billion in retail deposits, 155 Branches and 7,000 associates. Previously Mr. Jones was the Global Finance Services Group and Supply Chain Management Executive; Global Quality and Productivity Executive, reporting directly to the CEO; President of the Mid-South Region with more than $15 Billion in deposits and $10 Billion in loans; Technology Infrastructure Executive and President of Dealer Financial services. Mr. Jones served as National Treasurer of the 100 Black Men from 2014 to 2023 and was recognized for his leadership with the Knight Leadership Award in 2019 and the Wimberly award in 2021 He has been a member of 100 Black Men of Atlanta since 1997 and served an extended term as President of that chapter from 2007 to 2011. He has been an active member and remains involved in supporting events and programs of his home chapter. Mr. Jones is Chair of the Board of the United Negro College Fund, immediate Past Chair of The Board of The Atlanta Business League, is Vice Chair (and former Chair) of the Board of Trustees of Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn and serves on the Boards of the Metro Atlanta YMCA, and the NACD Atlanta Chapter. He is also a member of the Downtown Atlanta Rotary Club. Mr. Jones is also an alumnus of the University of Notre Dame (BBA-Accounting ‘74) Leadership Atlanta (’90) and Leadership Georgia (’92). He as received the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters, Honoris Causa from Shaw University (2007) and Allen University (2023). Mr. Jones is a licensed Life and Health Insurance professional and a Six Sigma Black Belt. Jones is married with an adult son and daughter and five grandchildren.
